Fly Baby Fly, Hold Air Hostage to return to action next year

Fly Baby Fly, winner of the $3 million All American Futurtiy, and Hold Air Hostage, winner of the All American Derby, will both be off until next year, trainer Jimmy Padgett, II, said on Wednesday. The races were run over Labor Day weekend at Ruidoso Downs.

Fly Baby Fly and Hold Air Hostage had both been intended to ship to Lone Star Park for the meet that opens Friday night, said Padgett, but post-race exams on each showed small bone chips that have been removed. Hold Air Hostage had been a candidate for the Champion of Champions at Los Alamitos, while Fly Baby Fly was being considered for trials for the Texas Classic Futurity at Lone Star.
