Peppered opened up at odds-on for the G3 Grey, and it will be interesting to see if he's able to repeat or exceed his easy second-out maiden victory, for which he got an 81 Beyer.

The best alternative might be Piven, who's stretching out off a closing second in the Colin Stakes. His sire, Prospective, won this mile and a sixteenth event for 2yos in 2011. Piven was a fat 9-1 in the early wagering. Leading rider Eurico Da Silva has the call for trainer Kevin Attard.
