For the first time at the winter-spring meeting, there is a carryover of $192,748 in the 50-cent late pick five for Sunday.

There were no winning favorites in the final five races on Saturday, leading to the carryover. 

It should be emphasized that the pick five carryover for Sunday is on the late pick five that begins in the fifth race. There is not a carryover in the early 50-cent pick five, which begins in the first race. 

This is the first year Santa Anita has offered a 50-cent late pick five. The two pick five bets have different takeouts. The early pick five has a promotional rate of 14 percent, which has been in place since the bet was introduced in the 2000s, while the late pick five has a takeout of 23.68 percent, the same rate as a bets such as the trifecta, superfecta and pick six.
