After winning the first five races on the card, Dylan Davis finished third on Tough Old Bird (5-1) in race 6 as Miss Sizzle (even money) making her first start since April and first for a claiming price, galloped in the slop as the even-money favorite under Junior Alvarado.
Davis winning the first five races on the card equals the feat accomplished by Ramon Dominguez eight years ago when he did it on Feb. 17, 2010. Dominguez, like Davis, finished third in his attempt at winning his sixth straight.
Dominguez finished 5 for 7 on an eight-race card that day. Davis still has three mounts to get a sixth victory which would match a NYRA single-card record held by several jockeys.
