Apprentice Wes Hamilton concluded the Sunday card at Laurel Park by riding his fourth winner of the afternoon. It is the first time Hamilton has ridden more than two winners on a card.
Hamilton, who receives a seven-pound weight allowance, won races 2, 3, and 4 before finishing fifth in race 5. He won the ninth race finale on Bocbcat, who paid $7.60. Bobcat is trained by Dale Capuano, who also trained Hamilton's winner in race 4, Chapel of Chimes. Hamilton also won races Sunday for Gary Capuano and Richard Sillaman.
Hamilton, the son of jockey Cowboy Steve Hamilton, is now 21 for 145 in his career. Hamilton is tied for third in the Laurel Park winter meet jockey standings with 13 wins.
