A series of late scratches from Friday's first race has led to Mario Gutierrez being named to ride Tatar (8) in a maiden race that has been switched from turf to dirt. he replaces Ruben Fuentes.

There are only five remaining runners from an original list of nine entries. Gutierrez was booked to ride Save Ground who was withdrawn when the surface was changed following wet weather.
