McGaughey cautiously optimistic regarding Fly So HIgh prognosis

Trainer Shug McGaughey was cautiously optimistic regarding the prognosis for Fly So High after watching her walk onto the horse ambulance several minutes following her victory in the Grade 2 Davona Dale.  Jockey Jose Ortiz dismounted the filly after saying he thought she felt a little uncomfortable in her left front pulling up after the race.

"Jose said when he turned around, she felt a little funny so he jumped off her," said McGaughey. "I thought when she walked on the van she was sound. Patty (Marquis), the state vet, said she was maybe 1 1/2 to 2 off. The filly was a bit pumped up, obviously, and I'm sure when I get back to the barn I'll be able to tell more. But as for something major, she didn't palpate sore or flex sore. Maybe she did something to her foot or jammed something. I'm keeping my fingers crossed."
