There were lots of Racing Festival of the South doings Monday at Oaklawn. The Hot Springs, Ark., track will run seven stakes worth a total of $3.5 million from Thursday through Saturday, when the meet closes with the Arkansas Derby. Below are a few bullet points on the happenings from Monday:

*Magnum Moon (PICTURED), probable favorite for the Arkansas Derby, rolled into the Oaklawn backstretch just after 1 p.m. Central, according to track spokesperson Jennifer Hoyt. The horse flew in from Florida, touching down in Little Rock then vanning about an hour to Hot Springs. He was joined on his flight by Hedge Fund, for the Oaklawn Handicap, and Unbridled Mo, who is nominated to the Apple Blossom.
