The start of the $3.5 million Racing Festival of the South at Oaklawn is drawing near and on Tuesday the fields were set for both the Grade 1, $700,000 Apple Blossom Handicap and the Grade 3, $400,000 Fantasy. *Magnum Moon took to the Oaklawn surface for the first time since winning the Rebel here March 17. He galloped first after the renovation break during a special training session for Festival horses. 

*Wonder Gadot, who is in the Fantasy, is scheduled to ship Wednesday to Oaklawn, according to her trainer, Mark Casse. She is based at Keeneland. 

*A fundraiser for the Permanently Disabled Jockeys' Fund and the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance was held Tuesday night in Hot Springs, Ark., in an event organized by Tom Van Berg and Nancy Ury Holthus. 

*Oaklawn will open its raceweek tomorrow, on Wednesday. The Festival starts Thursday with the running of the $150,000 Bachelor Stakes.
