Another sunny/warm day in Toronto for the second day of the 133-day meet.
Emma-Jayne Wilson and apprenctice Isabelle Wenc are both sidelined with injuries, and are off their mounts. Wenc announced on social media that she broke her shoulder socket yesterday in a training accident
Gary Boulanger inherits the mount on Sable Island from Wilson in the Queenston Stakes. The scratch of Wandofuhr might make Sable Island dangerous as the lone speed. The fast-working Blueblood is the 2-1 morning line favorite in the seven-furlong prep for the Queen's Plate.
Leading trainer Norm McKnight bagged a triple yesterday, and has won with eight of his last 11 Woodbine starters, dating back to closing day last year. He sends out Bakersfield in the second and Dan the Tin Man in the fifth.
The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is $6K.
