Just one scratch on the 7-race card that begins at 1:50 p.m.
Take (2) Titus Command out of the first race.
The featured $50,000 John Longden 6000 is the first middle distance stakes race for older males at the meet and Calgary Caper is very playable if he goes off anywhere near his 6-1 morning-line odds. A lot depends on how the race unfolds, though. A deep closer, the Phil Hall-trained 7-year-old will need help up front and he should get if Modern and Quick and Silver hook up early.
It is one of the best cards of the year with decent sized fields once you get past the first race.
The track is fast.
