Kelly O'Hara has been named main television host and paddock handicapper for Remington Park, the Oklahoma City track announced Monday afternoon. She will continue working as the track's racing development manager, overseeing aspects of fan eduction and the Remington Park Racing Club. O'Hara will begin her hosting duties with the start of the Thoroughbred meet Aug. 24.
O'Hara had been a guest television host and handicapper on a regular basis at Remington since 2013, alongside Chris Kotulak, who last month was named chief operating officer of Fonner Park.
O'Hara is a former jockey and a native of New York.
“Horse racing has been my life, my passion, for as long as I can remember and I look forward to promoting Remington Park’s outstanding racing,” O’Hara said in a press release. “I love the sport and the daily interaction around the horses, horsemen and the great fans and players involved. We all have the same goal in mind, winning.”
