Unique Bella taking it easy, goes a half in 51.60 seconds. Hollendorfer: "leaning to run at Santa Anita"

Unique Bella is nominated to the Pacific Classic next Saturday, which would be her first race at 1 1/4 miles and her first start against males. She also would be coming back three weeks after winning the Clement Hirsch at Del Mar. In her first work since the Hirsch, she went four furlongs in 51. 60 seconds Sunday morning at Del Mar.

Jerry Hollendorfer, her trainer, told me last week he doubted he'd run Unique Bella in the Pacific Classic, and there seemed little change in that approach after today's work.

"I'm leaning to run at Santa Anita," he said, referring to the Grade 1 Zenyatta in late September.

Asked if he'd even enter the Pacific Classic on Tuesday to take a look, Hollendorfer replied, "That's doubtful."
