Vexatious was a cut below the best 3-year-old fillies on dirt in 2017. This year, she is rising in the ranks of older fillies and mares on turf.
Wednesday, Vexatious won her first stakes in the CTT and TOC Stakes at 1 3-8 miles on turf. The victory has left trainer Neil Drysdale wanting to start Vexatious in preps for the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf at Churchill Downs on Nov. 3.
One option may be the Grade 1 Rodeo Drive Stakes for fillies and mares at 1 1-4 miles on turf at Santa Anita on Sept. 29. The winner receives a fees-paid berth for the BC Filly and Mare Turf.
