Seven Scents ($10.60) fought off Magnificent McCool to win Thursday's sixth race for 2-year-old maidens, providing trainer Craig Lewis with his fourth win of the year and first since March.

Seven Scents, by Goldencents, ran a mile in 1:36.82, winning by  a length in his third start, and first around two turns. Seven Scents was second and fifth in maiden races at Del Mar. On Aug. 18, Seven Scents was fifth behind Game Winner, who won Monday's Grade 1 Del Mar Futurity.
