Diversify, last year's Jockey Club Gold Cup winner when he led every step from the rail, drew post 6 in a field of eight entered Wednesday for Saturday's 100th renewal of the Gold Cup.

The field, from the rail out, is: Carlino, Gronkowski, Mendelssohn, Patch, Uno Mas Modelo, Diversify, Discreet Lover and Thunder Snow.

The Gold Cup will go as race 10 on an 11-race card that begins at 12:30 p.m.

In other races, the Grade 1, $500,000 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic drew a field of eight led by Arlington Million winner Robert Bruce, who drew the rail. He is followed in post order by Hi Happy, Sadler's Joy, Carrick, Teodoro, Spring Quality, Highland Sky and Channel Maker.

Imperial Hint drew post 6 and figures to be 1-20 in the Grade 1, $350,000 Vosburgh. His competition, from the rail out, includes Sightforsoreeyes, Maniacal, Forge, Mr. Crow, Silver Ride and Still Krz. Forge scratched from a $32,000 claimer today for this spot.

The Grade 3, $200,000 Pilgrim drew 10 for the turf and one main track only. The field, from the rail out, is Rhythm With Soul, Forty Under, Dashing Dan, Vineyard Sound, Opry, Ole Mole, Somelikeithotbrown, Social Paranoia, Spirit Animal and Pipes. The MTO is Casa Creed.
