Big Score ($4.80) caught 21-1 Le Ken in the final strides to win an allowance race with an $80,000 claiming option in Sunday's third race at a mile on turf.
Ridden by Joel Rosario, Big Score was timed in 1:35.32 for his first win since the Transylvania Stakes for 3-year-olds at Keeneland in April 2017. Owned by breeder George Krikorian and trained by Tim Yakteen, Big Score ran only in stakes after that win until Sunday, a span that included a third in the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby at Del Mar in November 2017.
Big Score's best result in four starts last year was three fourth-place finishes in stakes.
Sunday's win could lead to an appearance in the Grade 3 Thunder Road Stakes at a mile on turf on Feb. 9.
