Jay Cohen, who has been the hornblower at SAnta Anita for 31 years, was back at his post calling the horses to the track on Friday.

Cohen, 63, missed three months of work after being diagnosed with Bell's Palsy, a condition in which facial muscles become weak or paralyzed.

"I'm about 80 percent as far as playing the trumpet goes," Cohen told Santa Anita publicity. "the Bell's Palsy has been gone for weeks. I've been extremely ucky with a huge amount of support medically and from fans who sent letters wishing me well."
