Melmich should be favored to win the G3 Dominion Day Stakes for the second year in a row. After wintering in Ocala, the stayer ran huge off a layoff May 31, when he won a mile and a sixteenth optional claimer going away under Eurico Da Silva.

The 10-furlong distance of the DD is arguably Melmich's best trip, but it's a little far for Are You Kidding Me, who's coming off a troubled second in the G3 Eclipse. Last year's G2 Marathon winner Scuba had an unproductive spring campaign, and might not be the runner he once was. Trainer Brendan Walsh is taking the blinkers off him.

Trainer Tony Gattellaro could win the fourth with the heavily-favored Fresh Princess and the seventh with Ellan Vannin, who's making her first turf start in the Ontario Damsel Stakes.

Note that the second Pick 4 on the 11-race card starts on the eighth race, which could be dominated by favorites Silhouette and Gale Force.

The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover is $107K.
