Frostmourne, who won the Kent Stakes and the Penn Mile in his two most recent races, was pre-entered Friday for the Aug. 12 Secretariat Stakes at Arlington but won't run in the race, trainer Christophe Clement said Monday.

In a text message confirming Frostmourne would not start at Arlington, Clement said he was "not 100-percent happy with him. Will give him an easy week and reassess."

Frostmourne's defection leaves a field of just six for the Secretriat, which is headed by Oscar Performance and the English shipper Permian.
