Arawak was sent to trainer Wesley Ward's base at Keeneland after the trip to England. Ward said earlier this week that Arawak had sore shins after the Coventry Stakes, but has recovered. Ward was enthused by Arawak's five-furlong workout in 59.80 seconds at Keeneland on Aug. 1.
The colt has drawn well, in post 7 in a field of 8. This will be a class test for Arawak, who seems a bit low at 4-1 on the morning-line.
