Dawn Traveller (10) will have her American debut in Sunday's ninth race at Del Mar, a maiden race at a mile on turf for 2-year-old fillies.
Judging from the company she kept in a fourth-place finish in her only start at the Curragh on May 27 in a six-furlong race, the filly merits attention - and justifies her 3-1 price on the morning line.
While Gasta, the winner of the May 27 race has been second and eighth in two subsequent starts, runner-up Now You're alking was fourth in the Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and third in the minor Tipperrary Stakes last month.
Clemmie, who was third, won two stakes in the first half of July - the Group 3 Grangecon Stud Stakes in Ireland and the Group 3 Duchess of Cambridge Stakes at Newmarket on July 14.
Finally, fourth-place finisher Butterscotch was second in the Grangecon Stud STakes. Clemmie and Butterscotch are trained by Aidan O'Brien.
Dawn Traveller is drawn wide, but will be ridden by Flavien Prat. She is trained by Simon Callaghan and has had recorded works for his stable since mid-July when the Del Mar barn area opened.
