The Arkansas Racing Commission has set a public hearing for Monday to consider a host of proposed amendments to the state's racing rules. The hearing is scheduled to start at 11 a.m. Central. It will be held in Little Rock, at 1515 West 7th St., Suite 500.
The proposed rule changes range from amending penalties for multiple medication violations to coform to the latest ARCI Model Rule, to increasing license fees, to making licenses available for three year periods, to conditions for using a whip, to changes to a portion of the claiming rule.
Arkansas is home to Oaklawn Park.
