These guys can't get away from each other.
Beginning with Thursday's 22nd day of the 36-day summer meeting, jockeys Flavien Prat and Evin Roman are tied atop the standings with 22 wins each. They are five clear of Rafael Bejarano and in front of Joe Talamo, who had three wins on Wednesday.
Roman and Prat tied for the riding title at the Santa Anita spring-summer meeting. Roman won the riding title at the Los Alamitos summer meeting in July, which Prat largely skipped.
Both Prat and Roman are active on Thursday's eight-race program. Prat's best chance may be with Over Achiever (1), a 5-2 shot on the morning-line in the second race. Roman can easily win the eighth race on Fall Harvest (3), a 3-1 shot on the morning-line.
