Del Mar: Be a Lady among three claims in 1st

Be a Lady, the winner of Thursday's first race, and the first career win for trainer Andrew Lerner, was claimed for $12,500 by trainer Antonio Garcia.

There were six runners in Thursday's first race for fillies and mares at six furlongs and four of them were claimed.

Papa Mambo, who finished third, was claimed by Reed Saldana from Brian Koriner.

Southern Treasure, who finished fifth, was claimed in a three-way shake by trainer Mark Glatt from Steve Miyadi.

Kristie's Heart, who finsihed last, was claimed in a six-way shake by Peter Miller from Anthony Saavedra, but the claim was voided, according to track stewards.
