Long Hot Summer was declared a non-starter from Thursday's seventh race after she broke through the gate a moment before the race began.

Long Hot Summer broke awkwardly behind the field under Joe Talamo and finished fourth in the field of five.

"She pushed the inside stall door open," steward Scott Chaney said. "The assistant starter tried to prevent her from doing that and at the same time the starter dispatched the field. We didn't feel she had a fair start."

Bets involving Long Hot Summer were refunded. There was a consolation payout on the $1 pick three ending with Long Hot Summer, who was sent off at 5-2.

Race winner Watch This Cat was sent off at 3-1, but paid $6.20 after the refunds were issued.
