There were disqualifications in each of the first two races at Parx on Monday.

In race 1, Sally O'Prado was disqualified from first to second for coming inward and crossing over in front of runner-up Gadwall in the stretch. Gadwall was coming on again at the finish and was beaten three-quarters of a length. Gadwall paid $4.40.

In race 2, second-place finisher Southhampton Skye was disqualified from second to third.

Southhampton Skye was challenging for the lead outside eventual winner African Chief entering the stretch when he drifted outward in front of third-place finisher R Big Bopper, who clipped his heels and stumbled. Rider Lery Pinero was fortunate to stay aboard R Big Bopper
