Jockey Santiago Gonzalez has been given a three-day suspension for his ride on Chalon in Saturday's Beverly Lewis Stakes for 3-year-old fillies.
Chalon finished third, and was beaten a head for second by Faypien. Gonzalez was judged to have "failed to ride his mount to the finish, costing him a better position," according to a ruling issued on Sunday by Scott Chaney, Luis Jauregui and Tom Ward.
The suspension begins covers racing on Sept. 16-17 and 21.
