Super Derby winner Mr. Misunderstood returned to his Churchill Downs base following the Sept. 9 win at Louisiana Downs and one of the race options he has going forward is at the Kentucky track, according to his trainer, Brad Cox.
Cox said Mr. Misunderstood could turn up in the Grade 3, $100,000 Commonwealth Turf. The mile and a sixteenth grass race for 3-year-olds is scheduled to be run on Nov. 11, according to Churchill spokesman Darren Rogers.
Mr. Misunderstood has a 5-for-5 record on the grass, among his wins the Super Derby and its prep, the Prelude. Both races were run on turf for the first time in 2017.
