It is the final day of racing at Northlands this year with seven $50,000 stakes restricted to Alberta-breds making up the bulk of the 12-race Fall Classic Day card. In addition the first two races are Quarter Horse Stakes.
Post time for the first race is Noon Mountain.
Captain Will looks like the one to beat in the Beaufort. The 1 1/16 miles race for 3-year-olds will end the meet.
Trained by Ron Scott, he will appreciate the class relief after finishing fourth in the Grade 3, $150,000 Canadian Derby.
He could be keyed in the Jackpot High 5 which has a $17,913 carryover and must be paid out.
