Marathon expert Major Production, a new face in the Woodbine Turf Endurance Series, wore down the favored Tesseron in the final strides to take the last leg at 7-2. He completed the about 2 1/4-mile distance in 4:01.69.
Top jock Eurico Da Silva rode Major Production and two other winners on the 10-race card.
Second-leading rider Luis Conteras made his way through traffic to win the $125K Carotene Stakes on the favored New Yorker Inflexibility. Ghostly Presence gave way grudgingly to lose the nine-furlong grass route for Ontario-bred 3yo fillies by a neck. Mythical Mission ran her usual race to finish third, while second choice Silent Sonet was a disappinting fourth.
The main track was kind to speed, while the turf course played fair.
The Jackpot Hi 5 carryover heading into Wednesday night is $30K.
