Hunt, the winner of the Grade 2 Del Mar Handicap in August but 13th in the Breeders' Cup Turf on Nov. 4, won his third stakes of 2017 in Sunday's Grade 2 Seabiscuit Handicap on turf.
Ridden by Flavien Prat, Hunt won the $200,000 Seabiscuit Handicap at 1 1-16 miles by a nose over a fast-closing He Will, who finished a length in front of Pee Wee Reese, the 3-2 favorite. Pee Wee Reese set a modest pace, including an opening quarter-mile in 24.09 seconds and a half-mile in 47.90 - but could not sustain the advantage in the final furlong.
Hunt, a 5-year-old gelding by Dark Angel, is owned by Michael House and trained by Phil D'Amato. Hunt has won 8 of 26 starts and earned $668,764. He won the Grade 2 Eddie Read Stakes here in July and was fourth in the 2016 Seabiscuit.
