Norm McKnight began the evening five wins behind perennial leading trainer Mark Casse. He closed the gap a little with a double, as Casse scored with his lone starter, the promising 2yo Rosemere.

McKnight clicked with the dropping favorites Lunar Light and Thunder Point. He also sent out Seeking the Bay to finish second to the favored Bear'sway. He claimed the latter for $20K on behalf of Rainbow Stables, while Seeking the Gold was re-claimed by his previous trainer, Larry Cappuccitti.
