Spend It finished first in Friday's eighth race, but was disqualified and placed second for interfering with runner-up Empire Ruler in the final sixteenth.

The stewards heard an objection from jockey Evin Roman who rode Empire Ruler. The stewards decided to reverse the first two placings. Roman altered course on Empire Ruler after Spend It drifted to the inside. Empire Ruler closed well to finish a neck behind Spend It.

Empire Ruler was favored and paid $5. There was one winning ticket in the pick six, worth $14,410.
