WONDER GADOT (3) is more than capable of winning today's Demoiselle, but she doesn't hold any sort of significant edge (if any) over this field of two-year-old fillies. There are still questions about her preferred surface, and the nine-furlong distance of this race is far from a lay-up.
A horse that may need to step forward but should adore the distance is INDY UNION (5) for Jeremiah Englehart. A maiden winner most recently, Indy Union relished the fast main track and additional distance at Belmont, earning a 77 Beyer Speed Figure in the process. If she can stay withing shouting range of the pace-setters throughout, she could have a puncher's chance. She's currently 7-1 with 18 MTP.
