AVERY ISLAND (3) deserves to be the favorite in the Remsen based on his body of work, but I'm not sure he deserves to be 2-1 against this field; I don't have a strong opinion in this race, other than I think a number of the horses are talented and capable of winning. I'm siding with Arnaud Delacour's VOUCH (8). Vouch was visually impressive breaking his maiden at first asking in gate-to-wire fashion, and the win came at 8.5 furlongs. Today's distance shouldn't be an issue, and he's got a bit of pedigree being a full brother to Delaware Oaks winner Calamity Kate.
At the price, I can't resist Vouch. He's currently 16-1 with 15 MTP.
