Collected worked seven furlongs Tuesday morning at Santa Anita, and is expected to start as the solid favorite in the Grade 2 San Antonio Stakes on Dec. 26, opening day of the Santa Anita winter meet.

Mike Smith will ride Collected for the first time in the $300,000 San Antonio, replacing Martin Garcia. Drayden Van Dyke worked Collected on Tuesday. His work time was 1:25.60.

Others expected for the $300,000 race include Accelerate, Giant Expectations, Prime Attraction, Top of the Game and Win the Space. Hoppertunity’s status us undetermined.

Accelerate was scheduled to work Tuesday at 7:45. He had an alibi for finishing ninth in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. Check back at drf.com for more.
