The Pick-3 sequence starting in Race 4 looks like it could offer some value.
Race 4: My top pick is Nut Nut (#1), who was compromised by his trip last time, when he was unwisely rated behind a slow pace. Now he drops in class, and I think he's a viable alternative to potentially vulnerable favorite I Miss My Father (#7).
Race 5: The TimeformUS Pace Projector is predicting a situation that favors the front-runners, and I think that makes Holding Aces (#6) a major threat to wire the field. He's had excuses in recent starts, and I believe he'll be tough to catch if he breaks cleanly. He's the key to the sequence. Shorter prices Holland Road (#1), Special Story (#5), and Sir Alfred (#7) are backups.
Race 6: The horse to beat is Scorpion Bowl (#1), given Linda Rice's fantastic statistics with second-time-starting maidens on the dirt at Aqueduct. This horse got a very peculiar trip in his debut and figures to run a more professional race this time. Other to use as backups include Trinni Ninja and My Victoria Rose. At a much bigger price, I'll also throw in My Lightnin Strike (#5), who showed improved speed last time and may appreciate the switch to dirt.
