Parx cancels after first race Tuesday

Parx Racing canceled its Tuesday card after a horse fell and was euthanized in the first race.

Parx canceled its Sunday and Monday races due to cold temperatures and low wind chills, just as Aqueduct and Laurel Park did. Temperatures for the first race Tuesday were in the lower 20's with wind speed in the teens.

Lust for Money, a 12-1 shot in the conditioned $5,000 claiming race, stumbled at the start and then "went wrong and fell" approaching the quarter pole, according to the Equibase chart.  Jockey Lery Pinero, was not injured in the spill, per his agent, Miguel Espindola.
