Ridden by Mario Gutierrez, Principal Bob ($12.20) rallied late to catch 3-5 favorite Impression in the final strides of the one-mile race.

Principal Bob is trained by Paddy Gallagher, whose stable is haivng a fine weekend. Saturday, Gallagher's La Force finished third by a neck in the Grade 2 La Canada Stakes. Later Sunday, Gallagher has two runners in the Astra Stakes - Sweet Connie (7) and Evo Campo (11). Evo Campo is the 3-1 favorite on the morning-line.
