Cognitive, a first-time starter by Uncle Mo, won her debut in Friday's sixth race with a confident ride from jockey Drayden Van Dyke.
Cognitive stalked the pace and rallied wide to catch stretch leader Spend Spend Spend in the final furlong. Cognitive ($4.40) was sent off favored and prevailed by a half-length, running 5 1-2 furlongs in 1:05.08.
By Uncle Mo, Cognitive is trained by Bob Baffert for Juddmonte Farms. The filly was purchased for $500,000 at the 2016 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Yearling Sale and is out of Dream Sweeper, a half-sister to Dream Rush, who won the Grade 1 Test Stakes at Saratoga in 2007 and earned $779,361.
