Jockey Geovanni Franco won for the eighth time at the winter-spring meeting with Coronado Cool ($x) in Thursday's fourth race.

Franco has gained a spot in the top 10 among a tough list of jockeys, and is positioned for more success this afternoon.

Franco has three more mounts - Taste's Legend (3) in the fifth race, Platinum Equity (7) in the seventh race, and Mergie Troid (12) in the eighth race.

Franco has won 664 races in a career that began in 2009. He rode a personal-best of 119 winners in 2012 and had a personal best of more than $2.4 million in earnings last year.
