Mom's On Strike finished very fast out in the middle of the Fair Grounds turf course to win the first edition of the $75,000 Albert M. Stall Memorial Stakes. Mom's On Strike, the 9/5 favorite, was ridden to victory by Adam Beschizza for trainer Joe Sharp and owners Brad Grady and Carl Moore Management. Mom's On Strike was many lengths behind a slow 49.3-second half-mile split but came home with a powerful final three furlongs for her fourth straight win. Vagabond Princess, a 46/1 overlay, got a good pressing trip and held second. Five Hearts and I'm Betty G. dead-heated for third. Winning time for about 1 1/16-miles on firm turf was 1:43.82.
