Really nice tab of PLEIN AIR ($6) by both Mike Welsch and Kenny Peck as the day's best bet in race 3 as Luis Saez, as usual, pushed all the right buttons in guiding the filly to a first off-the-claim victory for Frank Calabrese. But a late run to be in the picture at race's end by the 6-5 favorite, SAMURAI'SFIRSTLADY, after losing all chance with a horrible break surely will make her an even shorter price when she runs back for this same N2L-$16k condition for Jason Servis; she only got beat about 3 lengths for it all after giving away 10 or so at the start.
