I thought AMERTUME (5) was very impressive breaking her maiden at first asking for Pletcher/Velazquez; she was very green down the lane but showcased a big turn of foot. She'll likely need to be more professional today - if she is, she should be rolling late. THEWAYIAM (3) is rock-solid, winning 3-of-4 career starts here in North America. She deserves to be the favorite based on her overall body of work. BRATTATA (4) was impressive breaking her maiden in career start number five for Chad Brown, giving up ground on both turns before finishing nicely down the lane. The money that PRINCESS WARRIOR (1) is taking must be acknowledged; there isn't much turf pedigree on the bottom, but the Midshipman's win about 14.5% of their first starts on turf.
