1) One Fast Broad 16-1
2) Spring Lily 5/2
3) Midnight Bisou 1-1
4) Thirteen Squared 6-1
5) Sweetsongofthenile 32-1
The scratch of DREAM TREE (6) means that MIDNIGHT BISOU (3) is going to be a heavy favorite in the Santa Ysabel; her most recent win (and only win to date) was very strong on January 7, and she acts like a filly that should be able to handle the additional distance. I love everything about her except the price she's likely to offer - and the fact that there's another filly in this race I believe has tremendous talent.
SPRING LILY (2) was an impressive maiden winner on February 4 going 6.5 furlongs for trainer John Shirreffs. This daughter of Union Rags possesses quality early speed and should be forwardly placed throughout this afternoon. I don't think the distance will prove to be an issue, and she should be a fair price; she's currently 7/2 with 11 MTP.
