Luis Rodriguez Castro, a 5-pound apprentice based primarily in Parx, made his New York debut a memorable one, guiding 10-1 shot My Pirate to victory in AQU 4th, kicking off the pick-6 with $116,274 new money in pool on top of $17,180 carryover. It was Castro's second mount on the card. Earlier in the day, he finished sixth on Cleo in race 2.

My Pirate opened up a sizeable advantage in the stretch and held off the late-runnign Gio Lucky(2-1) to win by a length.
