All P3, P4, P5, and Rainbow 6 selections on favored Durango Kid, who was a late vet scratch, moved to Old Dude, who reared at the start to get away several lengths behind the field. He finished third in the five-horse field. The stewards concucted an inquiry into the start but correctly let the order of finish stand.
