Higher Power, the half-brother to millionaire Alternation who is unbeaten at two turns, breezed Tuesday morning at Oaklawn. He is being pointed for the Grade 2, $900,000 Rebel on Saturday at Oaklawn, according to his trainer, Donnie Von Hemel.
Higher Power worked first after the renovation break, going a half-mile by himself in 50.20 seconds on a fast track. He galloped out five-eighths in 1:04, according to Oaklawn clocker Taylor Radimer.
Higher Power, who races for Pin Oak Stable, will be ridden by Richard Eramia, said Von Hemel.
