Jenda's Agenda ($4.20) was a sharp sprint-to-route winner in the opener, taking a deep allowance on the front end. The race could produce starters for next month's Grade 1, $700,000 Apple Blossom. Jenda's Agenda shipped in from Fair Grounds for the race, with Florent Geroux aboard for trainer Larry Jones.
The race was the first of seven on the card to be run at a distance of a mile and a sixteenth, the same trip as this afternoon's Essex, Azeri and Rebel. Jenda's Agenda won in 1:44.94.
Jenda's Agenda withstood a claim foul after drifting out in the stretch, but the stewards made no change to the order of finish. Torrent finished second Saturday.
